help with head selection

I was thinking about buying some heads. My choices are SPS haymakers, TF 255's or ported LSA's. What are your guys thoughts. I will add cam and ported LSA blower with Meth on 93 octane. ARH 2" primaries, What areyour guys thoughts. Is the extra cash for haymakes or TF worth it over ported LSA heads.

Just a few more options...... MAST Black label, Brodix, TSP

The benefit of aftermarket heads over a ported OE would be that you could utilize a 6 bolt head and use them on the OE block for room to grow.

I went with the Trickflow Gen X 255 heads with the upgraded valves. I then had them milled and given a valve job to make sure everything was right. I like them but believe I would have gotten close to the same performance from a GPI or TSP head for a lot cheaper. I do like the increased valve angle to give more clearance and GPI and TSP have that option as well i believe.

I went with a set of haymakers. But now I need to determine combustion chamber size. I always thought bigger was better. more room for boost. How wrong am I. How can I determine the correct size for my application

Chamber size will effect compression. Its not about the biggest heads, but the right ones for your combo.
If whoever is selling you the heads cant help you make good choices, I would buy them elsewhere.

There are online calculators if you have all the specs to put into them. Search on engine compression calculators.

You have some reading to do. Its not that simple. Depends on fuel, boost, camshaft, type of usage and how safe you want to play the game.
In general LS engines seem to like 10- 10.5 with boost from my experience.
You will get many different answers on that.
