Anybody else have this problem? Might want to check. I never would have looked if I hadn't seen another post on the forum, which I can't find now.
I read about that the other day. I pick mine up on Wednesday and will attempt to find something to go around the seatbelt to prevent this.

Cheers,
Jack

I don't use the loop, just reach back to put the belt on. I've heard that if you pull straight out then go across your body the issue will be gone.

If you don't use the loop, then yes, you're probably fine. I'm only 5'7", so I have to use the loop, as the seat is too far forward to reach back and grab it. I have a bad shoulder so reaching back that far is painful. When they replace the seat back, I'm going to see if it's possible to fashion some sort of black acrylic on the inside of the loop to protect the threads and lift the belt off the seat shoulder so it doesn't do this.

You guys do realize the drivers seat reclines, right? They also adjust vertically up and down! I have mine all the way up as I like to sit high in the car. I am 6'1" and I would NOT have this car without a sunroof! It is my "sunny day" car only and when I am in it, the roof it open! LOVE it! If I roll the seat recline up, yep, my hair touches the ceiling and creates static. But I don't like sitting straight up anyway, it is really hard on your spine per my chiropractor! I prefer a little "guido" driving...lay the seat back about 30 degrees or so, and I have well over an inch of clearance to the roof with a roof in it and that is plenty. You want 3 inches, buy a truck! :o) My HD2500 Duramax has all that and then some! If going to track the car, then maybe I see the issue with a helmet on...but is 3/4 of an inch really going to make that much difference? (just ask your wife! LOL)

I have never owned a car with a sunroof, just T-Tops in my 82 Z28. I am super glad I got a roof in my 1LE! To each their own though! But this is a Racaro thread and the Racaro's...well, they set the 1LE interior apart from just the next SS on the lot! Love mine!

Just remember it's torso length not overall height that determines if your head will hit or not. For example I'm 5'11" and my dad is 6'4" yet we sit at the same height. He has long legs and mine are kinda short.

You guys are lucky it took me six dealers to find a 1LE or ZL1 with recaro's. When I did it was heaven. So that was numero uno on the list, plus I also come from real sparco race seats and the recaro's feel like a lazy boy. Stock seats same as others it hit me right at the neck and just put my head in a weird angle.

Plus I plan to put more mileage on a track then the road.

Gee, I don't think the roof is ruining anything about my Camaro...I would not have the car without it!! I love the roof for some open air and light!
