timing off by 160 drees
we went to put my new cam in,I lined up the timing marks.When I stick my finger in number one plug hole for the compression stroke the cam sprocket timing mark is at the top.Do I have the crankshaft off by 160 degrees?? I have one side rocker arms on turn over with no binding

As long as the dots line up, it is fine.
Not possible to be 180 off. The crank spins 2x the cam. Not the other way around. The only thing you would be checking using TDC is degreeing in the cam to the cam card specs. If you used OE gears, it's probably degreed just fine. It's the aftermarket gears that are sometimes off a few degrees. |

thank you!I lined up the dots on the cam and the cam pin at 3 0clock.I took it out and put the new one in the same SPOT.jUST WANTED A SECOND OPINION.THANK VERY MUCH!!!
