The boost levels aren't that high here though so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Having seen the same non-boosted LS7 come apart TWICE in the last year because of its hypereutectic pistons, adding boost to that engine, unmodded and based on the above, is a short-lived exercise if enthusiastically driven.

ZR1...only!

I agree,

I'll cam and stroke my LS7.. and just take the suspension from a ZR1 to my Z06

if money wasn't an issue

Doesn't the 11 Carbon at least if not all 11 Z06s) equipped with the Zr1s magnetic shocks and carbon brakes?

The reason GM based the LS9 on the LS3 instead of the LS7 is because the higher cylinder pressure created by a supercharger requires thinker cylinder walls than what the LS7 has. I would stick to an all motor build with the LS7.

If your desire is an aluminum block 7-liter with boost, use the C5R block. If cast iron will do, LSX...

All stock LS7's will blow up with forced induction. It's only a matter of when and it will happen sooner than later. Rebuilding will cost you atleast $10,000.

The stock LS9 will run 100k miles with no problem.

A blown Z06 is fine for a weekend car but hard use will kill the engine and unsuitable for a high use car.

fixed!

more displacement, 6 bolt head option, stronger cylinder sleeves, and cheaper!
