I need to do this also, I have lowered on pedders xa's and have 275 fronts and hit dips in the road it cuts the tire.. had to raplace one already and the tire only had 1000 miles on it.. Im not really that low I didnt think and I haft to role around with my coilovers on 27-28 on the front.. makes for a ruff ride

Rolled mine using the wooden handle on my rubber mallet. I still rub some on the fender at about 2 and 10 oclock. Going to try rolling those areas tonight

I'd be interested to see some before/after pics of the front fenders.
I've rolled & flared fenders on other cars with great success, but I wouldn't mind seeing it done on a Camaro before I tackled mine. I wouldn't mind flaring them a bit to hold my 305's.

so I found this just now...digging up an old thread here.
Anyone care to comment about rolling fenders? I am experiencing some of these issues. Didn't used to be all that bad, but I've recently moved and the roads are crap here. With all the bumps, I'm getting some cuts on my tires. Not going to replace them, but would like to do something that would keep my sidewalls from getting so cut up. Anyone done this and care to share pics? I'm thinking it isn't that bad to do, but I do get kinda nervous when doing stuff like this that probably isn't easily reversible... |

haha while that may be an option, I'm pretty happy w the way it handles right now, and the tires are wearing perfectly (outside of the f'n cuts on them where the tread meets the sidewall...)
I may just give it a shot. Found a few "how to" vids, and it doesn't look too challenging. Running my winter setup right now on stock wheels and there's not a single issue bc the wheels are tucked, but when I get back to summer setup that's gonna change. |
