New Torque converter is awesome!
So while I was home in Houston for labor day weekend, I dropped the car over at 510 Race Engineering. Had them put in a torque converter and a transmission cooler. All I can say is wow!!
This has to be the best mod I have done yet. I wish I would have done it a long time ago. She accelerates great and getting up the rpm band is quick. Yeah she drives a little different and there is some getting used to it, but I am very pleased with the results. If you have an A6 and haven't done this yet, it's completely worth it. Thanks to Randy and Matt over at 510! They did a great job with the install and even went the extra mile by securing my exhaust down for me after weeks of rattling and getting the TC and trans cooler straight from the manufacturer. Also, I was driving into Houston off a 10 hour drive at 7 am and they were kind enough to come in early to take the car in. Thanks to Circle D for the sweet 3200 TC. And also special thanks to Ted Jannetty for providing me with another great tune!

Thanks for the info...I'm thinking about doing this mod down the road with my shop here in town. Can you PM me the price you had to pay for the torque converter and transmission cooler, so I know what to expect?

Thank You for the opportunity and kind word Nathan, it's most appreciated. You've got one really clean 5th gen, the spoiler is a nice addition. We look forward to working with you again in the future!

I love manuals.... but I do miss putting in a new converter and getting on it for the 1st time. The right converter makes such a HUGE difference for a car. Congrads!
