I need to get rid of my kooks high flow cats......after my maggy install. there is know way I'm running these cats with FI. not worth the damage it may cause. I just hope the smell is not to bad. I don't have a resonator either so it's already pretty loud over stock, but I like it. I have kooks LT headers and corsa exhaust. The corsa exhaust keeps it some what quite until you get into it. So this being the case might work out ok with no cats and the exhaust noise not to loud. If I have to, I'll put resonator on it to quite it down if needed. So the only problem at that point is how bad is the smell of the exhaust. I should mention I don't have emission testing here in my state so that's not an issue. If I had an emissons state. I would look into OEM FI cats off a corvette or zl1, but there going to be very expensive. I would be checking the junk yards and fabricate one on to my car. Until a good aftermarket supplier stepped up with something proven to work long term. Just my two cents.

Lets just say you'll be making everyone around you mad with the smell of your exhaust lol. I've got a friend with an uncatted mustang and it smells like hot garbage that's been sitting in the sun on a 100 degree day lol. Were starting on a new design this week over at PI, I'll keep you guys updated on our progress. If anybody is willing to put some protocats on their FI car then please let me know, we'll need some test vehicles for the new design and I dont have a kenne bell on my GTO yet. We'll send the cats to you.

Would they be a direct bolt on replacement for the Kooks?

I am installing a whipple right now, and have 2" ARH headers with ARH's cats. I also have the straight pipes that I am planning on swapping out when heading to the track. I would be willing to test a set of cats...and I would be willing to pull them out periodically to check them.

The best part is that you already have our existing design on your car, we supply ARH, let me know how they work with the supercharger. Send me a pm with your name and number and such so i can make a contact list of everyone that is interested.

If you still have those could you send them to me? I can tell you right now that the core of that cat isn't coated at all, which is why it blew like that. If you still have them and you send them to us, we can analyze them and see where exactly they failed at. That is terrible man, I've been hearing tons of complaints about kooks and SLP cats for the most part.

You'd have to cut the existing ones off and have them welded on. Unfortunately we do not make pipes or anything of that nature......yet

So should kooks not have to back these up? These babys are like 100 bucks for junk!

They're over $400.
