My senior design project was a carputer that did.. well, alot. Too bad we split the team and I went with a different project. I do know that they are using a carputer to control HVAC, XM, CD, MP3, AUX, and get this.. ride height.

They have sensors at the 4 points of the car and they can tell each sensor what they want the ride height to be. From there the compressor fills the bags to match the settings. Some hella good precision. Their system can also be controlled from a gameboy or nintendo DS...

the poster above you was talking about a project he did in a class or something like that - not what options will come on the camaro. Just to clear things up.

didn't feel like reading, did you? I'm lazy too so don't worry. The 3.6 was discussed in the first few pages.

Those gauges rock. If they come out with the 2.0 turbo, this could very easily be my first American car someday. (W00t for boosting the GDP!) I'm very impressed with the new Camaro. (I just need that V4 because gas prices are absolutely killing me.)

First time I've seen concept photos and thought "what an awfully ugly car" and then seen the real thing and thought "wow, that thing is nice." The interior looks SO MUCH better than the gaudy concept interior. Love the modern look and feel with a slight retro touch. Coming from a skeptic of the Big 3: Great job on this one, GM.

may or may not go in at all. it will most likely have onstar turn by turn with the little guidance arrows, which I would prefer over a map that I have to look at while driving. I don't care how a tech does its job, so long as it does it. To to me, voice directions combined with arrows close to where I am looking anyway is far better than having to look down at a map in the center of the car. How is that any different than getting out a paper map and marking your route on it and tossing it in the car?
