Had to share, drag strip coming to town! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hot dang! Just found out they are going to build a 8th. mile drag strip in my little town Callahan FL 32011. We have a go-cart dirt oval that is pretty nice, I would rather have a paved road course myself.
Anyway the strip is going in behind the cart track, which is like 5minutes from my house, can't wait! Will be a great place to hang out on Sat night.
Anyone running the 8th with your Camaro?

What a small world. I am the previous owner of Maxville Speedway. I’ve raced at Callahan many times. I’m very close friends with David Hicken the owner.

Maybe I’ll see you out there when the drag strip gets built.

Nice to hear they approved a new strip somewhere as apposed to hearing about all the closures.

[SIZE="3"]Can't wait to run the SS, lot of nice cars around and quite a few outlaw type pro streets. I know of a couple of hell cats 1 super snake and a GT. 500 What I really want to see run is 2018 SS that has the full on Hennessey treatment, hope it will be done by Christmas. Yea I know but I can hope. /SIZE]
