I bought one of these deals from the dealer for my Infiniti and it included curbs. 'Best $ I ever spent as it paid for itself X4, at least!

tires are covered for three years from blow out only for the bumper to bumper, and the rim will be too for three years except curbs. So I dont see why you would get the insurance unless the tire insurance covers everything.

Where did you get that tires are covered for bumper to bumber coverage? That has never been the case to my knowledge.

The insurance isn't worth it. A lot of people will be swapping out to after market rims. Since this will be a mass produced car, you will be able to find replacement rims on ebay and craigslist in a few months.

(btw... don't drive like a noob, and you won't need it. Or in my case, that means don't let your wife drive the car. She is a curb magnet)

I'd be too worried about having a legit thing happen and them denying a claim on them....seems to be how that stuff usually works. The dealer will tell you all kinds of great stuff about it, but when it comes time to get something from them they find a loop-hole to not cover your situation.

so I assume this is through the dealership and not GM. . . so if your dealership is one fo the 2k that gets shut down.... You bought the insurance for nothing.

Mine was from an independent company sold through the Infiniti dealer and it covered rims AND tires. With the pricey tires on our Camaros, it would buy it again in a heartbeat. I had at least 2 flats, one caused by road debrit that bent & ruined a rim and several nails/screws that caused leaks in those 3 years.

wel maybe its not bumper to bumper maybe its from the tire company its self Ive had a 06 MONTE SS and currently have a 07 silverado both had blow out protection for 3/36000. Now rims should be covered under the bumper to bumper unless you curb it, which the other insurance wont cover anyways. So dont buy that, just another gimmik, they get you at the right time because you just bought something exspensive. But your not getting covered by something that you already have.

Interesting. I'm pretty sure my 2002 GMC didn't come with any road hazard coverage on the tires.

As for wheel coverage, I wouldn't expect the bumper-to-bumper to cover them if you hit a bad pothole and dent the rim edge. They might cover an out of true/out of round wheel without a visible impact dent. I can't imagine how you'd do that to a wheel on a Camaro...the only way I know to do it is rough off roading.

You're regular full coverage car insurance covers the rims already. Why pay for it twice? The tires are covered by the tire manufacturer. I've had a couple replaced under warranty by the tire manufacturer when my truck was new.

I would say if you damamge your rims by hitting the curb, your auto insurance would cover and also When I got new tires the place charged me $20 buck for road hazard for all 4.

My daughter had to replace a Continental Tire on her Jetta. Sidewall bulge. Argued with them about it. Said it was from an impact.. ( Well yeah!!!!) Woudln't cover replacement. Was awful frusutrating.

Like we can dance around willy nilly around these freakin potholes. Sheesh!

Guess I wouldn't count on the tire being covered for everything.
