I don't believe the rear rotors on anything other than a Z/28 were two piece. SS and ZL1 shared the same rear brake set up and they are one piece rotors on the rear. The Z/28 is two piece rear due to the Carbon Ceramic disc with an aluminum hat.

Rear hat is stainless and the rear rotor for a C7 GS rotor is the same size as our SS so I need the hardware to attach a set of KNS rotors for the rear.

Honestly though other than maybe looks I have a good three years on my rear rotors with quite a bit of track time and track pads. Rear rotors still look really good. I don’t know if there is much to gain by going with an aftermarket rotor unless there is a weight savings associated with it.

Looks and I just want a 2 pc for the rear it couldn’t hurt and there’s a reason for a 2 pc on the rear of Vettes so it should work well on mine.
