Also the date we are shooting for is a MONDAY, Sept 13th. This would work out well since it follows the camaro show at Summit Racing that weekend, from what I understand.
Rich is one of my best Dealers. We will be supporting him at his home track.

Glad to hear you guys are able to get involved. I didn't want to mention you, until Rich knew for sure. I know you guys do SO MUCH for the camaro group, as well as many other things.

I look forward to meeting you at rich's on the 22nd.

Approximately. I would say +/- 45 minutes. More plus than minus.

Matt, I can probably make it up on that day to help out if you need anything. Also, let me know if you need any help before hand. How is the count coming along?

It appears we have about 10 - 15 "interested", but I have no one committed now to the Monday date yet. Also, I don't know how many people Rich & yourself might bring, if any.

Once I get home this weekend I will take the time & PM everyone that posted interest.

have you decided on a go / no go date? I'll see if I can't come up with the $$ and who else might be able to commit from the GTO / G8 crew.

Monday actually works great for me, weekends are full.

Not really. I am waiting to here back from Chris (Instructor). He is talking to Dave (from Mid-Ohio). I should be hearing something today or early next week. I

I am just excited that Pete is getting involved. What better setting to feel out the stock stuff and have some one there that knows how the car can be improved for YOUR driving habits.

LOL, that is certainly what I am thinking. Get a feel for the stock G8 and then make it "right."

One thing to be aware of is that the OE G8 pads are NOT suitable for track use. I use Cobalt Friction full race pads and they work great, BUT they are not very civil. Any track street compound from any reputable pad company will be fine for a track day, but do NOT use OE G8 pads. The OE pads in the 5th Gen will be good to go from the show room floor.

OK, I need to know who is going to be able to come on Monday Sept 13th.

The cost is $400. It will be a half day, or full day depending on amount of participants.

As stated earlier, Back Street Performance and Pedders are going to be there and involved.

IN!

Thanks for arranging this, TLSTWIN.

I think this is a great deal and excellent opportunity. My autocross season just started. This event would be toward the end of my season, but I am sure these instructors will give us valuable driving instruction.

Any chance that I could request an instructor to ride along with me at some point?
