JBA High Flow Cat Big Daddy O2 extender/simulator

Hey all. I think I made a mistake. I bought a pair of JBA High Flow Cats off of a fella on this site and they came with the original JBA straight extenders and then the Big Daddy L extenders screwed into those. I installed the cats and after 15 minutes I threw a CEL. Was I supposed to only use the Big Daddy L extenders on the High Flow Cat instead of both?

I have long tubes and hfc and i only used straight ones, and even before tune didnt get codes i didnt get a lot of miles on car but definitely more than the 15 minutes you experienced

You have to use both. I've ran high flow cats and am now catless using both and I haven't thrown a CEL.

Try just running the straight extenders. 2013+ need both and I've heard earlier models get away with wearing one.

I think I read the same thing about solo cats as well. 2013 and up need the additional extender (Big Daddy L/Vibrant J) and under 2013 just need a straight extender.

The tuner could turn off the rear O2 codes. No more CEL....

I've got both on my Solo HF cats but mines a '13 if it really makes a difference? What code are you getting? I got a code when I first added the BigDaddies to the Solo extenders but it was a different code than the one I got before I put on the Big Daddies. I think it was a P013f something like "O2 sensor delayed response" but it was for the rear O2 sensor, I guess it had to do with having two extenders on it. I cleared it and it never came back again.

Theres no "pretty much did". Its either on or off..... at least in hp tuners. Brand should make zero difference unless you are running shortie headers. Either way, the tuner needs to turn them off.
