I pulled my diff myself and bought the 3.70 gears from LPE. I had a local shop install them and he didn't require an install kit as he had all shims needed and they charged me $225. Quiet as a church mouse and loving it.

My dealer charged me 450. First one they did and it took the installer 12 hours. I think they messed up there. I had to tip him. Extra 50 to install new diff bushings

How are the 3.70 gears vs. the 3.91's with an M6?

I've got my own lift in my garage so r/r of the diff would be a breeze. Once I get ready I think the diff swap with a ready unit like this is the way to go.

I'm taking advantage of Erik's diff swap out program. Going with the 3.91 ratio.

My installer said a couple of hundred to do the install.

Unfortunately, getting gears done on these cars isn't cheap. The gears, install, kit and fluids ran me about 1700-1800 bucks. Awesome mod though; makes the car feel a lot lighter.

Ok can someone point me in the right Direction, Chevy sells the 3.91 gear set for $450.00 Labor should be what 2 Hours ( Correct me if I'm wrong) ....$150 + $450 $600 total

P/N 19301504 / MSRP: $450.00†

If you want the ultimate acceleration off the line, look no further than this shorter gear ratio. This ring and pinion comes out of the 1LE, and the higher numeric ratio gives your fifth-gen Camaro a dramatic increase in acceleration. The drive gear increases effective rear-wheel torque multiplication by 13 percent in a manual-transmission Camaro SS, and a whopping 20 percent in automatic cars.
The complete 3.91 Performance Gear Kit includes the ring and pinion, all hardware, shims, gaskets, oil additive, and instructions (included, not shown). The 3.91 gear installation requires recalibration, which is installed by a GM dealer. Application for a CARB E.O. has been made at the time of this writing.

mine goes for new gears in the morning. dealer quoted me 750.00 for the install, I sourced the kit myself so that's just the labor on it.
