Best Place to Purchase In Bay Area?

Hello!
Brand new to these forums and have been looking for a 2010 Camaro for the past few months. I live in the Bay Area and have been trying to lock down a 2LT model with many of the bells and whistles, but being new to Camaro's, perhaps you can point out the good buys and the unecessaries as well as the best dealer to go through. So far, it seems that there is a 2 month minimum pre order wait to get the Camaro of your choice and this is too long for me. My car engine head gasket blew on Monday and I need a car within the next few weeks.

I was looking at a 2LT with these features (and possibly a few more).
Any recommendations on the best dealer in the area.

Color: Black, Imperial Blue. Cyber Grey
Automatic Transmission
Leather Interior - Preferably a Tan
Heated Seats
Bluetooth Hands Free.
Navigation if available
Boston Acoustics Sound Package
HID Headlamps
iPod integration
RS Package

Appreciate it and very excited!

There are a few places. Sunnyvale Chevrolet, Fremont Chevrolet, and I believe the dealer out in Dublin all charge MSRP. I think the dealer in Burlingame also charges MSRP. The 2 dealers in San Jose charge over MSRP. So there is a start.

The following dealerships will let you order at a good price, Putnam Chevrolet in Burlingame has been going back and forth, but I believe they're offering MSRP and will guarantee it for Camaro5 members. I know Boardwalk Chevy in Redwood City (by century park 12) was accepting GMS pricing and such if you qualify.

Courtesy Chevrolet is a good one in the south bay from what I hear. As for picking one up off the lot, I'm sure you'll be paying over MSRP unless you can find a great dealer.

Navigation is offered as turn-by-turn via OnStar, and there is no nav selection, but otherwise everything on that list is standard on the 2LT/RS aside from automatic transmission.

I might be able to check Putnam for you tomorrow if you would like.

Mindz, I was going to order one from Courtesy in San Jose but they wanted 5K over MSRP at the time. This was back in Apr/May though.

Boardwalk actually has two camaros on property today. A RJT 1LT w/RS (auto) and sunroof (Mikenmar's car that he cancelled) and a fully-loaded IBM 2SS/RS (manual) w/white rally stripes that came in last Thursday. The guy that ordered the 2SS couldn't secure financing and so the vehicle is available. Boardwalk's policy has been to offer MSRP for orders and if the original buyer backs out then they will try to get a premium on the vehicle of approx. $5K or whatever a qualified serious buyer negotiates.

I'm not sure I would completely trust Putnam in Burlingame right now. Too many bad stories reported here without full disclosure of how they remedied the situation. As far as I know the original issue w/Greg (Saving41) has not been disclosed as he needed to wait for their offer to materialize before telling what they did to replace the vehicle they outright sold out from under him.

If I was in a position to come up with the money today the IBM 2SS/RS would be in my driveway right now . . . anyone interested in '72 convertible vette (all matching numbers)? See my garage for pics

I'm going to look at Boardwalk's 2SS/RS tomorrow then. wow, if only it didn't have stripes, it'd be the exact hardtop I want...

I got mine from Courtesy Chevrolet at MSRP. The customer service was great and actually made my wait a lot easier. However mine was pre ordered back in early November. However I do believe they are charging at least a 3K markup now.
