Can I track my order/prodcution?

I am new to Camaro 5 so this question may have been previously answered...

I just ordered my 2SS today and paid my deposit, is there a way to track the cars production progress? If so, how?

only your dealer can. You have to ask him to check your event codes. If you want to know what event codes mean go to the event code sticky. You will probably not see any update for about two weeks.

Welcome!

The best way to track your order is through your salesman. You should have a 6-character workbench order number, probably starts with NK. If you have this number, you could call an 800 number (search this site), but it seems from other posters out here that the dealer knows more than the customer service folks answering the phones.

i think that the 800 customer number agents have been instructed to call the persons dealer first and register a "complaint" reguarding a lack of info on the customer before trying to access the details of the order in the GM data base.

4B = In Oshawa, Awaiting shipment 20 Jul
4200 = Shipped 22 Jul
5000 = Deliv'd To Dealer 24 July
6000 = Deliv'd To ME!!! 28 July - 12 Weeks, Order to Delivery, and there was a one week shutdown during that time.

dont call customer service they dont do anything for you, but call your dealer.

Wrong. If you call the GM Customer Service number at 1-800-222-1020, There will be an automated prompt service. Inquire about "Products" and then "New Vehicles" They can put you in contact with someone who can track your event status after attaining your order number.

The only caveat of this is that sometimes they say they cannot track your order for whatever reason. If this is the case, just check back periodically.

However as always your DEALER is your best resource for tracking your order and for all other Camaro information.

Yeah, my dealership told me mine was still at stage 3400. Just called customer service and found out it has already been produced and is on it's way to me!!!
