The main problem is with all the product development & production we do here I seldom take any cars for installs! Just really isn't enough time in the day anymore!! :( |

Where exactly is Texas Speed located? I'm in DFW, I am a cheap SOB and would consider picking up parts instead of shipping in the future if it's local, or along a frequent route for me to Corpus, San Antonio or Austin trips.

You're still swapping out lifters so its just as in depth and requires head removal. There's no longevity difference, a cam/spring of similar ramp rates and lobe height would be similar whether it includes VVT or not. Just buy properly matched components from a good vendor and have an installer that knows how to set up the valve springs, measure pushrods, and properly place the rocker tip on the valve.

No fly cutting at all. We will supply the phaser tables for you so that your local tuner doesn't have to even understand what the camshaft phaser does! LOL
TrackZero, VVT is the future of just about every engine going into cars from this point forward. The phaser is actually very simple & just moves the camshaft around to different points through out the entire rpm curve. The result is the camshaft is at it's ideal location through the entire rpm band. This design has been in use in a lot of vehicles & will continue to be moving forward. It has proven to have nothing but great dependability to this point. We are located in Lubbock Texas so it's a pretty good drive from Dallas! If there's anyone in the TX area interested in doing the cam swap shoot me a PM. It's possible I can put together enough time to do a install for someone. It won't be free though, but I can put together a discount on a few cam packages to get them in the hands of guys wanting to dyno before & after! |

The answer to that question is very simple. Every TSP camshaft goes through a lot of testing & development before it's released. Spintron testing, engine dyno testing, multiple lobe design changes, phaser table development, etc... These all just take time to get it right.

That is a drive, but what better way to enjoy the car? I won't be doing cams for a while, warranty is still active, but the day it's not, I'll be there!
