Premium gas on LFX/V6
Hey guys, I am planning to load premium on my v6 for the first time. My fuel range right now is 76 miles to go. It is okay to do this coming from regular gas going to premium? Any input is appreciated! Thanks

Sure! Why not? It will mix up just fine, if your concerned drive around a little & run it down to 40-50 miles left but certainly don't need to.

I did it recently and honestly felt no change at all besides paying a dollar for gas. I honestly think the premuim gas burned and went faster in my v6 but that might just be me.

Poor kittens
I ran 2 tanks of 93 and then went back to regular. Maybe there was a little less hesitation with premium? Hard to tell as any difference wasn't pronounced enough to measure. I can measure the $6 difference in price between the regular fillup and the premium and I don't see enough performance improvement to justify it. |

All 93 octane will do for you is cost 40-50 cents a gallon more. You won't notice any performance gain. Save your gas money and get a CNC Ported Throttle Body ($150). With THAT you will notice a significant difference in throttle response.
Wait a minute - in CA do you even have 93?
