New Stage 4 Ported Intake Manifold
Last Thursday I finally got my MACE Ported Intake Manifold back after the failures of the previous ones. Due to the government shutdown though (I'm a contractor) I have only been able to drive the car once since I installed the new intake but it feels good so far. I did do a hard pull then let off the throttle to build pressure up in the manifold then suddenly pull it into a hard vacuum, no chips or anything formed at the edges of the filler.
Will see how it handles racing conditions when I go back to the track. Here is a picture of the new filler and how the porting looks like. |

Did Jay have any info on changes made to the filler or how it was applied?

He just said it was a very time consuming method they used to put it on this time. They didn't do it before because it would have added to the cost of the porting. Now it will only be offered on FI applications since N/A doesn't put it through the same pressures. He also said the only way it should come out now is drilling it, which would be hard to do since the location of it.

I hope it holds up for you.

Holding up so far and it looks like this intake manifold allows the air to stack up better. My AFR's are leaner with the same tune (11:1 to 12:1 and over), so more air is getting into the chamber. The temps have dropped off though, when it warms up next week I will see if the AFR's are the same.

How much did this cost you? Shipped from Australia right?

Don't know how much the cost is now, but I paid $650 since I bought a core from them instead of an exchange.

Don't know what stage 5 would be. Stage 4 is 90% of the manifold ported to get the most out of a FI car.
Temps warmed up today and my AFR is still around 12.3:1 at WOT in boost, so more air is getting into the chamber. See how the filling holds up and does on the track. |

Took it to the drag strip this past Friday and been driving it hard, so far no damage at all to the intake manifold so its holding up good.
Bad news is I'm still waiting for my check to repay for me shipping the intake manifold back twice to MACE. Supposedly it was sent on October 3rd, but I still haven't gotten it in the mail. |

Final update, ran it at the track last Friday night and zero problems, the filling is holding up great. The car has been run extremely hard the past 3 weeks with zero failures, so MACE has a ported intake manifold that will handle extreme pressures and temps.
