How many New Jersey drivers have put their front license plate bracket on?

It's a law, but it looks terrible. What are you doing? Have you been pulled over for not having it?

I won't put i on. I have driven 5 cars without the front plate in NJ over the last 20 years. I have gotten a total of 4 tickets. They don't have any Points on your license and they are typically around $30 bucks. Small price to pay in my book. (I didnt want to ruin the look of my Vette's nor my Acura RL)

To be honest 2x I was given a ticket for no front plate instead of a speeding ticket by a couple of forgiving officers.

I live in Philly and wanna move to NJ but I *REALLY* don't wanna put that eyesore of a bracket on the front bumper of my car. It just kills all the sleekness.

i was playin with that when you stopped by the meet...i think the Show and Go bracket is great because you don't need to drill into the front facia. and when you park it at a show or meet spot, you can just slip it under the front bumper and no one really is the wiser

As mentioned in another forum, mounting plate without drilling holes...for NJ drivers like me.

you will need to drill one new hole below the provided mounting holes (the lower holes) then you thread a long tie 12-14 inches through the hole from the bracket. then thread the tie through the grill and catch with your fingers and then through the new lower holes drilled and "set the bracket as made to sit. Once set, pull ties through lock and pull tight so that the lock part of the tie fits and sits in the recessed bracket hole. This will allow the plate to sit on the bracket flush. Cut the excess tie and mount plate, look mom no holes in the bumber and very secure!

best and good luck!

It seems like quite a few people are using this hide and go license plate bracket. I've been looking into it more and more. Seems like a good way to go.
