Holley Sniper Sheet metal intake

Has anyone installed one yet? Good or bad? And does it fit without any modifications to the cowl? Thanks.

I can't imagine it'll perform much differently or at least have characteristics that will differ much from the Holley mid/high-rise.

Looks cool. Probably too much for my otherwise stock set up.

I'm more interested in quality and fitment than anything else. Performance gain is probably better than the LS3 intake anyway with forced induction. I'm not cutting up the car to make it fit. LOL.

Found some instructions but not too specific to the Camaro:
The Holley Sniper and Holley Sniper EFI manifold series are designed for GM LS Gen III and IV engines, Chevy Small Block, Ford Small Block, Ford S197 Modular Motor, and Ford Coyote engines. There are LS Intake Manifolds available for each of the three GM OE LS cylinder head types, LS1/2/6 (cathedral port), LS3, and LS7. All of these intake manifolds are designed to work with OE or aftermarket cylinder heads as long as the head is configured with the intake flange bolt pattern and intake port opening locations matching the appropriate OS application, GM LS Gen III and IV engines, Chevy Small Block, Ford Small Block, Ford S197 Modular Motor, and Ford Coyote engines.
These Hi-Ram style intake manifolds are designed for high performance engine applications with maximum engine speeds of 7000-7500RPM (Carbureted) and 6800-7400RPM (Fuel Injected), depending on the engine combination. These manifolds are intended for maximum performance applications and will not accept stock components and hardware. A modified hood will be required for most vehicle applications.

I couldn't see the sniper high rise intake being much different from the EFI high rise.

I have seen over the years a few guys go with the high rise and cut the cowl...

I would say you do not have to cut the cowl for this to work, as I would seem to think it would be in the instructions....

You expect universal directions for a universal ls3 part to have install info on every car produced with an LS3? Nowhere does it say it's an exact fit for the application.

Per Jegs-no cowl cutting is needed. Had to place an order with them anyway so I asked.

I did not "expect" anything as I think I said what I just said "think" &

Per Jegs the "application guide" is listed on their website and so they say everything that is listed would not need any mod other then the hood.
