Supercharged Camaro Vs. Hellcat

I raced a Hellcat Charger at the track a couple week ago. The night was setup as 585 area code (Rochester Area) versus 315 (Syracuse). My buddies setup up the race with the Hellcat since we were even in our first couple of runs. It was a good race. I ran 11.873 @ 116.89mph. He ran 12.031 @ 117.14. He was super upset about losing to just a supercharged Camaro, but was a good sport about it. It was one heck of a race as you can tell from the video and very close. My modifications are listed below, including drag radials. He had stock tires. We are planning a rematch in a couple weeks. Here is a link to the video:

Cool! Haven't seen any hellcat get close to the reported 10.8 that Dodge claims they run. Good luck with the rematch!

Do they put the drags in the trunk when you take delivery? Haha

All those times are with pro drivers, too. I couldn't imagine this particular guy running 10.8 even with drags. Just hard to imagine losing over a second just with drags. His son told me he got drag radials for our next match up. So, I guess we will see.

That was great. You don't need tons of hp to run decent times. You need a balanced setup and track time. Have you ever made a run on street tires?

Good work. I love both cars, but always good seeing the "under dog" win, even with the S/C and other work.

Where did you race? I live in Rochester and would love to come out and watch. Always wanted to take mine down a track as well, although I have a SS Convertible, and not sure if they will let me without a roll bar.
