3.91 Differential with Trutrac
This was originally a 3.45 out of my 2013 SS. At 9k miles, I swapped gears to GM 3.91. I replaced all of the bearings and seals while I had it out. Bearings and seals are all AC Delco. I also replaced the LSD with a Detroit Truetrac. I will include the original LSD if interested as there’s nothing wrong with it. I currently have another 11k miles on the gear change. All work was done by myself. I’ve had the car since new. It was never raced, never had slicks or dr’s. Never driven in the winter. There’s NO gear noise. Absolutely nothing wrong with this diff. Oil changed 1000 miles after gear swap and every 3000 after that. I will include two quarts of Torco RGO gear oil and two J44394 Seal Protectors. I found a good deal on a new ZL1 diff is the reason I’m selling this. $1200

do you prefer the zl1 over this? I was actually looking at the same either zl1 full rear-end swap or just up to 3.91 with Eaton and such. zl1 is 3.7 and heavier so would love to know your thoughts.
