M6 5th & 6th gear shifts
I have a 2SS with the 6 speed manual. I noticed when I shift into 5th or 6th gear, that there is a bit of a clunk sound. Is this common with the Tremecs?

No, no clunking sound on mine. You just might be going in 5th and 6th too low in the RPM.

Thanks, you might be right. I dont have many miles on my car so I have been taking it very easy on it. I am shifting into 5th and 6th at a fairly low rpm. Ill try to wind it out more when I get it back out in the spring and see what happens. Thanks guys

No clunking on mine either. What I have noticed is after I installed the Hurst Short Throw Shifter, I have to kinda/sorta make sure the stick is lined up w/6th or sometimes it will go to 4th. Other than that, no issues!
