I'm not brand loyal in the slighest, but the only manual Mustang I would consider at this point is a Mach 1.
What do you want to do that the C6 isn't doing? Would new car money put into C6 mods make more sense for you? |

My wife HATES the Corvette which means I don't get to take it out much when we go on date night or road trips. It's got a decent Cam and full exhaust. |

This is the OP. Apparently I had 2 profiles. Not sure why but I've switched phones several times since i was on here. The login and password that transferred from phone to phone was the other profile.
I appreciate the feedback. It's kinda what I knew all along. I actually bought the mustang too but I'll be taking it back. That's the nice thing about CarMax. It's a nice car but you know the old saying, you flip a coin and if you're disappointed then you know which one you really wanted. |

Nope. He currently has a C6 and is cross shopping a Mustang vs Camaro. OP edited for brevity with emphasis added:

I've road tripped my Camaro a little, but honestly I think 4-5 hours is about as much time as I want to spend in it in one go. The seating position leaves me pretty stiff after that. And not in the good way. It's fine while I'm seated but when I go to stand up I have to really think about it so I get my knee to work and not face plant. |

I’ve done several 3-500 mile road trips in one day in my old SS. Never had a single comfort issue at all for me or momma bear while doing so. I do wish the 5th Gen’s had cooled seats though. This time of year, that is one thing I really like about her Yukon Denali.

Like others have said, I'm not particularly brand-loyal, in fact, I swore off GM for several years after my 2004 Monte Carlo debacle. I simply like what I like. Loved my 09 Mustang GT. Beautiful car with fantastic curb appeal. But at 300 HP, it simply wasn't enough. And I really don't care at all for the body styles that came later, so that took Mustang out of the running for me. When I saw the proto 5th gen Camaro around 2007, it was love at first site. I knew I would have one eventually. Now I have two. |

She likes the mustang and the Camaro. She use to drive my 2010 SS and she will drive the mustang. I have a RAM truck(my 4th ) but unless it's a hellcat I'm not interested and even that would be iffy since they're tubby beasts not to mention their styling just doesn't do it for me. Besides, if I have the green light to by another car far be it from me to say no. |

i love mustangs. they taste like chicken! like one of my old t-shirts says: the LS motor touched by the hand of God! ford still can't figure out how to keep cost down. yes i'm biased. you can build 2 chevy's for the price of one ford. never had any luck with them

just having a proper muscle car motor is enough reason to buy the camaro.
the coyote motor is dreadful. ok it may produce decent bhp but for daily driving the lack of torque is a joke. second main reason to forget the mustang is you sit on the things and bounce about. where the camaro you sit in them. look at the issues threads on the mustang forum lol.
