Pulled the Trigger

Well, Just pulled the trigger and ordered a 2017 2ss. I'm being told 4-6 weeks. I'm thinking longer, but we'll see.
Black on Black. Magnetic Ride Control, Performance Exhaust, Nav. System.

The Count Down Begins.

Congrats! I'm surprised you can already order a 2017 for arrival in a month or so.

Yeah he's not getting it within a month. Production for them won't even start until the week of 6/6. I wouldn't even expect them to start arriving until July/August.

Production doesn't start until 6/6, that's already 5 full weeks before you could possibly have the car built. If the dealer has an immediate allocation (you need to check on this) then you could have it built between 6/6 - 6/20 (TPW). Then it could take anywhere from 2-10wks for it to be delivered. I would say the earliest anyone will likely see their 2017's will be around the first week of July.

I tend to agree with you. I questioned the dealer more then one about the time frame. But as normal, they were adamant about the 4-6 week time frame.

I think I'll get it, in hand, just in time to put it away for the winter.

Bah, it's pretty hard to get one of those first builds. I've tried several times and its always constraint this, hold that, other guys got there sooner... Something. It's true with every brand, not just Chevy. August was my best so far and my worst would have went into the next year but I bailed and went to something else.

Still, I wish you luck! Some guys do get that early July delivery and maybe you're holding the winning ticket. Do bitchslap us around with your good fortune if it happens, it'll be your day... Dog.

I would imagine since there are no real changes for 2017, there will not be any major hiccups that would affect 2017 production. There may be constraint issues with wheels and such as there have been with the 2016s but it shouldn't be because of the new model year. The production line should have most if not all the qinks worked out so delays should be minimal. Of course, this is just my guess.
