Any truth to the rumor that the next Vette will be mid-engine?
When is the C8 due?

It's been said that the current Z06 is the limit for a front engine, rear wheel drive in terms of useable horsepower (and some reviews would say otherwise). From what I have read is there will still be a FR corvette along with a mid engined corvette on sale. I could be wrong though as I'm just going off of what I've read online

I thought a mid-engine GM design was called a Corvair!

The last I heard regarding the midengined Corvette was the midengined C8 ZR1 will go into production alongside the C7 Stingray/Grand Sport/Z06, then those will transition to the midengined layout after a few years.

It'll ease diehard traditionalists into the new design.

Hmmm, so it's picking up steam this time.

Not a fan of the render. Hope that isn't close.

I'm still skeptical on a mid engined corvette happening anytime soon, but hey, they've only been rumoring this for 50 years.
