You'll negatively affect the handling if your not square.

Is that a "D" at the far right of the DIC near the arrow? Manual only, right?

Yeah the press photo is a little off. The DIC also says the car is going 128 mph

Also, I don't see a slot for a CD.

Strange LS3 Hints

Given the following hints, can the LS3 motor in the 1LE really be the same LS3 that we all know and love?
  • New for 2013 is an available dual-mode exhaust system...Similar to the systems found on the ZL1 and Corvette models, this vacuum-actuated system provides a quieter driving experience at low engine speeds and a more aggressive sound at high engine speeds.
  • ZL1 high-capacity fuel pump and additional fuel pickups for improved fuel delivery during high-cornering.
  • 7000 RPM redline (as evidenced by the official photos)

It's a rendering and not a picture, so it could be a misprint. All the presented information points to just a regular old LS3, which is just fine with me.

There's no reason to assume that the 1LE will have a redline of 7000, the official photos are all kinds of wrong. The gauge cluster is from the V6, the speedo only goes to 160mph and the tach redlines at 7000rpms. Plus the various other mistakes. The official specs are listed, red line of 6600. I'd believe those over any rendering.

There are no DOCH LS engines period. GM has no plans to stray from the tried and true OHV V8. GM has said so, and the next gen V8s are all going to be OHV. They killed the Northstar DOHC V8s specifically to run the same OHV architechture across all brands. If you try to run an LS3 to 7500 rpms prepare for things to break and your warranty to be voided. I don't know how these rumors start. Its worse than the 5.5 displacement everyone keeps harping about.

I was realy hoping for an actual "track pack" that is an auxillary option and not a new baseline model. No love for those of us hoping for a lowered, better braking, better handling, and better looking V6.
