Zl1 LSA Going On The Texas Speed Engine Dyno!

Guys we're working to install the ZL1 LSa on the Texas Speed Engine dyno next week! I'm waiting for a couple little parts to make it happen! Look for testing on all kinds of cool stuff. If any of you guys have ideas on something you want to see a good side-by-side test on then let me know!

The engine dyno is perfect for accurately testing parts side-by-side within minutes of each other so we get true power gains instead of internet hype!!

I have the new TSP crank pulley, about 10 different camshafts, 2" vs 1 7/8" headers, etc...

Any ideas on stuff you guys wanna test?

I'd like to see an 87 vs 90 vs ported snout/102mm throttle body comparison at around 12-14psi.

Can you also do a pull with the factory manifolds and cats in addition to Headers and Hi-flow cats? It would be interesting to know the gain. Ideally would be on a stock LSA setup and then after mods.

.... can't wait to see the results.

You should do a 2.55 vrs 2.38 pulley. After the snout is done it would not take any time at all..

Some meth. injection testing would be cool, especially with EGT's in place.

Do you have access to some CNC or hand ported heads flowing 350-360 CFM?
It would be cool to see how much gain over stock heads can be had.

I know a lot of us are torn between budget cam (ls9 from GM) or something more aggressive (for example lingenfelter's GT9). Would really like to see a comparison of these two on a stock LSA motor, and on a motor with an overspun blower.

Yep. It would nice to see that comparison. Stock, LS9, etc. It would really be nice (hint, hint) to see a completely stock motor with just the rev limiter increased to say 6400 rpms to see if the power continues to climb like I think it does. Make sure to log injector duty cycle from stock through the different modifications. BTW - thanks for doing this; you will sell a lot more parts.

I'd be happy to test the ls9 cam for you guys. While we do test our headers and camshaft a side by side with competitors parts all the time, I will not post those results. It's my job to make sure we out power the competition, but I just don't think it's right to post the results.

I will however make sure we offer the best lsa camshaft a available

As far as pullies and snouts I will research if any shops that offers those parts wants us to test them while its on the dyno!
