Added photos.. Some reason would not upload but 1 per post?? I have more if anyone is interested.. This is a complete "LS3 Long-Block" and not a crate engine. The only reason heads were pulled were due to bad lifter. It is complete with oil pan, all sensors, covers and bolting. I have the (old)cam and lifters too.

I wish I had the funds. I've built over a hundred pre-LS small and big block motors, but never built an LS motor before. Back issues forced me to be only a motor building guy now.

1st question, No just how it looks after sliding the cam out, I can send you better pics if you want just PM me. The car was at a GM shop and a complete inspection, diagnostic was done. Mechanic said "engine only needs cam and lifters" and will be good to go, everything else checked out. Cam looks good in all bearing areas, only bad area is 1 lobe near back, about .005-.010 wear.

2nd question: complete long block oil pan to heads (821 heads) with all sensors and can cover plate. (needs cam and lifters) you will need intake, water pump, injectors, brackets, ac, alt, etc...

Do you know how many miles on this engine? Did the lifter spin in the journal?

I think about 35,000 you can still see the original cross hatch hone markings in cylinders. No wear at all. The GM service rep said all it needs is a cam and set of lifters and it will be a good engine. No other issues found from their diagnostics. The only bistable damage is small amount ( about .005-.010 wear) on one of the rear cam lobes. It was running fine but making small ticking sound. I don't know f lifter rolled. My guess is no from looking at cam and block.
