I have water spotting and need help! lol
I have had water spotting that has been on my car for atleast 3 months now.I had a body shop that my audi dealership recommended but they ended up not getting them out when it had just happened and they actually left swirls all over my door.. Long story short. I havent had the time to deal with it as i am working 7 days a week preparing for a big investment.. The car is garaged but does that even matter as to how hard it is going to be to remove the water spots? Am i left with nothing but painting the entire car at this point? The water spots cover pretty much the entire left side of the vehicle... I really just want to have the water spots removed and wrap the car and be done with it...
And suggestions? Have you had this issue? and how did you resolve it? |

Anyone with a polisher and some time should be able to polish them out, I would think.
Wash, clay, polish and they should be gone. I live in San Angelo Texas with some of the hardest water (and apparently radioactive) anywhere and was easily able to polish out water spots left by my sprinkler.

Try a mixture of vinegar and water. Wipes it right off.

Use white distilled, vinegar though will only remove water spotting. If you have water etching where the minerals have eaten into the clear coat polishing is the only option to remove them because you need to lower the clear coat to an even level. I think you have the latter. Polishing will get it right out though, no repaint necessary.

I have a 2011 black synergy and made the mistake of washing it in the sun. Once the car dried, it had a million water spots on it. I used Meguiar’s Hard Water Spot Remover, this product worked very well for me. I applied it with a micro-fiber applicator and removed it with a micro-fiber towel. If I remember correctly, I got from Wal-Mart for $8.99. Good Luck!

Just a few post down from this is the exact same thread. It'd be nice if people could at least look, especially with such a generic question. I guarantee its been asked before
