That's good advice. Should I install a crash bar on the front to punt the Prius out of the way that's causing it to come on?

Lol, no kiddin'. I just installed the kit from Phasetek. It is cheap and super easy to install. Though I found I was pretty much able to drive around the skip shift, but the solenoid is going bad and it doesn't release from 4th like it should. So I finally broke down and got one of these. I could replace the solenoid, but really, why spend all that money on something that just pisses me off anyway? lol

I drove mine for 5 years before trading it in on the sedan and never had a issue with the skip shift. I guess it's all in the way you drive, I never drove mine like an old lady.

I call BS, lol. You're in Florida and never got stuck behind an old lady at an intersection? I do here all the time, and those people go down there for the winter. You can only go as fast as the person in front of you.

Got mine on e-bay for $10

Works fine but the skip display still shows up. It just does not force me to shift from first to fourth. Terrible design and dangerous.

I tuned it out on my 2010 SS & never saw it pop up on the dash.

I would not buy any eliminator.
In addition, if it is still on the dashboard, I think the installation of the eliminator is incomplete.

I contacted Dynosteve, who turned off skip shift nonsense and improved the response of the accelerator pedal.
