exhaust makeover cost?

what are the expenses on avg. of doing a full exhaust makeover.. say with corsa or something good. I want it done right! and does it void any warranty? and whats the potential hp increase?

Full exhaust....headers, cats, the whole works....you have to account for the $$ for a tune and CAI to make it all work.

If you are just doing cat-back, $1k average on price and no, it won't void your warranty unless that particular part caused a damage to another part, say it was installed incorrectly and your exhaust ports started melting. If just cat-back and doing nothing else, 0 hp gain (might even lose hp if going too big) but great sound!

is it smart to go with the gm performance exhaust or would it be better to go with corsa or borla?

Go after-market. Corsa, Borla, Zoomers, MBRP, MagnaFlow are all nice. It pretty much depends which sound you prefer. Plenty of exhaust sound clips here. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21289

Spend 10 minutes to listen to some of them. I have Zoomers and am very happy with it but I am sure I would be happy with any of the ones I listed.

So, if you do a cat back system but keep the stock headers, there isn't a performance gain other than a deeper sound? I was looking at a Borla Catback with a Roto-Fab CAI, but stock headers. If I swap to aftermarket headers, is it 50 state legal?

Man, the money for aftermarket parts is adding up!

For exactly $2K TOTAL I got Headers (catted) and Cat-back - Sounds and runs b-e-a-utifully. Install yourself to save a few hundred $$.

I saw about a 10hp increase with just a custom cat-back (x-pipe, 2.5" tubes, magnaflow mufflers).

Go through the pages, the hot links are old like last updated in June. Many more are there since then.

What is the pricing that you are giving with the specials?
