We waited for this!

Was it just me or was that the most boring uninspired unveiling of all time? I waited for this? I wanted chicks and booze and firetrucks....all things that make life worth living for!! We already saw what the RS was going to look like on camaro5.com last week. But where are pics of the SS, RS/SS, accessories, wheel options, PRICE etc!! I have a severe case of Blue Huevos right now.....Seriously! Maybe I was just expecting too much. Anybody else feel my pain? I guess when something has been hyped up for two years some of us tend to expect too much.

I was expecting a lot of info...ended up with nothing I haven't seen already. Hopefully we will get even more details over the next few days.

The info is on the site, it's mostly Text and a few pictures. The unveiling is just them lifting the sheet (garage door). that's it.

We know almost everything about the car now, save for the SS, full option list and pricing. I'd say that's a TON of information.

While I understand the nostalgia of the location, I was unimpressed by the event, but I am fired up about the final product. I was expecting to see the Productions SS model.

with business conditions as they are, we did not spend as much money as we did in 2006 when we unveiled the concept.

We do have to answer to stockholders -- and wall street.............

The world has changed. I'd rather spend the money on stuff you can enjoy when you purchase the car.

As to the info. received? Well -- keep in mind that someone leaked the info early - had that not happened, I think you'd be more happy with what was given to you today.

I was wondering if I could ask a question of the fbodfather, are they going to restore the backend on the SS or Z28 to be more similar to the concept or is the slimmed down version what it is?

Far be from me to complain... but I kinda wanted to see the SS model today. Any idea when we may see it or some of the options/accessories? Thanks, Scott for your patience with all of us Camaro nuts, and thanks to all involved in bringing this car to market. I, for one, will be buying, and I believe this car will be a huge success!!!!

Without question, that makes perfect sense. Like you said the cumulative effect of all these things was a little bit of a let down. But, everthing about the car is great news. Even some of us getting all spun up about the Z28 confusion. As of this morning, the cumulative result is we are all really happy with the car. And you were right, it's all in the details... Thanks again, for chiming in.

In my very humble opinion, GM is doing exactly what they should with the camaro.

Scott,

We all think you guys did a great job on the RS and options available but how come you did not show the SS or 'vert yesterday? I don't think that would have cost you anything. As far as shareholders are concerned, when the stock is at 10 bucks, you've got a lot more to be worried about then how you unveil a production car!

Agree. There must be thousands of people in the GM marketing department ... for that? Were these guys in vacations or what?

If not, tell Mr GM to fire these people, coz they are damn useless!

If I can make a suggestion ... with the economy made by firing them, hire some top engineers and build a supercharged Z28 ...
