How about buying Mario Andrettis' Z06 for less than $55K

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...t-kerbeck.html

BTW he's buying a ZR1 to replace it.

This is much closer in price to a new Camaro sold for MSRP
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-35-900-a.html

Corvette sales have tanked and now could be a great time to take advantage of the situation.

If you guys think Vette prices are down, you should see what used 05-06 GTO's are going for.... I'm jumping on one of those myself....

Already test drove one this week, Its an 06' I was just looking up information on it. I know there is a year of GTO you don't want to get, and I cant remember what year it was. One year had a smaller engine in it, and me no likey that.

Nice summary there.. I'll be spending My money on a Camaro even though the Vette prices are lower..

That's the 2004 model year. It came with a 350hp LS1

The 2005-2006 model year GTO's come with a LS2 400hp 6.0L V8...

I'm keeping my eye on a couple 06's right now, just need to wait a couple more months and I'll be looking to buy one myself...

I still consider buying a Vette at times, especially since you can get a Z06 with 20,000 miles on it for $40-45k. I don't mind buying used cars, and the Vette will have the HUD, Push-Button start, touch screen nav, and 505 HP. Not bashing the Camaro, just saying that the options that I want are all in the Corvette right now. I still don't know what I'm doing yet though.
