Just ordered the new Corsa cat-back exhaust (W/ X-pipe) in Black Chrome

I can't wait to hear this on my SS 1LE. Part# 14770BLK

If you are looking for a great deal on Corsa, check out Maryland Speed.

I will have the Corsa put on while the shop is doing the ZL1 1LE rear cradle solid bushing kit install, since the stock exhaust has to come off anyways for that.

Yeah, those guys have a really bad reputation for over-promising and under-delivering. They are partshop-non-grata on the Mustang forums for craptastic customer service.

Interesting.

I google searched and they have a good reputation on the Corvette Forums.

Well, I only ordered the Exhaust from them, and I am not pressed for time, so as long as they don't try to stiff me, I am ok with the time frame.

They did tell me it would be 2-3 weeks, while that does seem long, as long as they deliver, the price was worth it.

Worst case, I file a dispute since I paid via CC.

My Corsa took about 5-6 weeks to get from MS which was longer than promised but not horrible. I believe corsa systems are made to order so it’s not something that can ship immediately anyway. Hope it works out for you, can’t wait for a sound clip.

They were awesome.
My only source for parts for quite some time, they would ship same day and I'd have it the next, I wouldn't bother to look elsewhere. Last time I used them was about 4-5 years ago, no problem, but on here I now hear some horror stories.

Hope it was just isolated incidents, good luck and hope you have a good experience.

I'll definitely post pics after it is installed. I think the black chrome will look awesome with the Nightfall Gray.

The sound should be pretty bad-ass as well. I have seen the youtube video of Phastek doing the Borla X-pipe and Corsa Extreme on the ZL1 1LE and it sounded awesome.

When I heard Corsa came out with their own X-pipe, I was all over it.

I had Corsa on my C5 Z06, but never did the X-pipe before.

I am equally excited though about getting the ZL1 1LE rear cradle solid bushing kit installed. The 1LE has amazing handling, but there is play in the rear-end because of those bushings.

Are you kidding me?? Just a few weeks ago Maryland Speed had stuff out about going out of business or something. That dude is out of control. To the OP, I surely hope you get your parts. Regardless of what you may of searched online. The stakes are not in your favor. That place is and has been horrid for a long time.

I hate to add fuel to the fire, but you may want to cancel the order as soon as you possibly can.

If this is the site you used for these guys:

https://marylandspeedshop.com/index.php

Then this is the corresponding list of complaints (117 and counting) on the Better Business Bureau's page:

https://www.bbb.org/us/md/hollywood/...464/complaints

Good Luck with these guys. My first call would be to my credit card company.

I'm going to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. If the time frames that were quoted aren't reasonably met, then I will look at other options.

The guy reached out to me saying that they had issues in the past and to give them the chance to earn my business, and I understand that. I do appreciate the warnings from fellow forum members though.

I don't think it is a good idea to jump the gun based on other experiences, especially since he reached out to my personally to say they would try to do things right.

I will base any action or inaction on the merits of my particular order and what was discussed with me over the phone.

I don't mind the 2-3 week time frame, I think that is reasonable considering the discount.

What matters to me most is that those time frames are reasonably accurate and were not low-balled just to get the sale.

I am a fair guy, but for stuff like exhausts and other performance stuff that needs to be installed, coordination needs to happen with work schedules and the installer's schedule. Anyone who is in the performance parts resale business should know and understand that they are not the only factor in the equation and respect needs to be given to all of those involved, for that is true customer service and professionalism.

I will keep this post updated.

When I created this post I had no clue to the prior issues others have had, but at this point I don't want this post to turn into a bashing thread. I will give the guy the chance to do right and in the end hopefully improve their perception and have a positive review this time around.

Does anyone know if the stock system (from the primary cats back) will fit in the truck with the seats down? Is it all one piece?

I need to be able to transport the stock system back home, just in case I ever trade-in or sell the car.

Another reason I went with the full cat-back instead of just the axel-back, I didn't want to cut the stock system.

I hope you do have better luck than others have had, I just didn't want you to get ripped like so many others have.
