Do a full inspection and if it checks out ok....do it. That’s not a bad price for a $9000 mod.

I don't know if I'd want a car that's already been boosted. You don't know how much he put on that engine, and it could be damaged because of it.

Personally, I'd be a little concerned buying a used Camaro/Corvette/Mustang/Challenger/etc with a supercharger. It usually means the car was driven hard. Check for the quick obvious stuff like tire condition, rubber in the wheel wells, leaks, maintenance records, etc. Then take a test drive listening for drivetrain noises, transmission shifts, suspension feel, etc. If you can, put the car on a lift and check out everything under the car.

If he likes the additional 100+ HP along with the existing 400 HP its a winner, but I second what LimaCharlie said, have it checked real good due to the fact if its supercharged it was most likely driven hard.

Sounds like a sweet deal if everything's legit. Might be too good to be true?

this

people buy these cars to run the hell out of. but I'd go even farther. I'd take it to my mechanic and have him thoroughly check and test the thing. most places will charge you about an hours labor for that, but it's well worth it.

If you buy a used 4WD truck or Jeep from a "Good-Ole-Boy" it's a safe bet that it's been off-road and in some serious mud at some point. If ya buy a used dirt-bike or 4-wheeler/ATV, it's a safe bet that it's been rode hard on trails and tracks. If ya buy a used Camaro that's already been supercharged........well, you get the picture.
