I can see how people would feel more grunt down low in the SS. The SS hooks and goes, where as the 5.0 you really have to find the sweet spot or its spin city.
That's dohc for you.

I was next to one in traffic today and all I have to say is they sound awesome!!! That exhaust note is just perfect. It made me think of my old LT1 Z28 with long tubes and Loudmouth and how I thought that sounded great. Looking back, it probably just sounded loud.

This is true. The Camaros I drove felt like they lept of the line harder, but the 5.0, well at least my version of it just keeps pulling in a linear manner. Serious if I just drove my car on the street I may have leaned more toward the GM. But until the ZL1 came along the Mustang was the track day winner.

Ah yes, the sweet spot. He's right about that.

I think its that way because with the SS no spin. The 5.0 you have to have a certain touch with. Just IMO. When the mustang hooks like the Camaro it feels about the same.

I've yet to find a spot where my ss falls flat on its face? I really have to feather it off the line too, because of wheel spin.

Is your modded? I know stock Could punch and go with very little spin. Also stock 4.5-5 RPM and I could deff feel it fall. It could be that the Mustang pulls so hard in that RPM range that it just feels like that to me

Mine falls flat right around 6200-6300. It pulls hard in the 5k
