Noob Qeustion?

If you were to do an axle back exhaust would you get an x pipe? Or would you do a cat back instead? What wouldn't void your warranty? And what does the x pipe do for your axle back set up? Planning on doing exhaust and I'm thinking either MRT 2.0 or Loudmouth 2 with a C.A.I intake RX catch can, oil breather...hurst short throw! Need some help from the pros?

My opinion is the Corsa Catback, Hurst shiftre, RX throttlebody, RX Catchcan and breather. As fara as a CAI, get the CAI or SLP Blackwing

I'm not even sure, I know in the mods section for our engine you can get the BBk x pipe? I'm thinkin if I'm gonna do the exhaust I may wanna do this? BTW my service advisor said no to the throttle body , said it may mess with the computer? Will it add to the sound/performance?

With these cars there is not much of a performance gain from adding an X-pipe which is the first time I have ever encountered that. GM put together an cat back system that flows really well, it just sounds like crap and is heavy as hell. All swapping would really do is change the sound depending on which one you went with. I probably would not bother. If you are not planning on installing headers at some point I would bother with a full cat back.

The MRT v2 is our most popular V6 axle back and a better quality product than the other. The CAI intake is also our most popular V6 intake. We are constantly making package deals on those two items and they sounds great together. Adding the RX catch can and oil breather as soon as possible is a great move. It will help keep your engine healthy and performing for the long term. You would be surprised how quickly these direct injection engines can start gumming up and performance starts suffering.

Feel free to shoot me a PM or give us a call if you have any questions. That is what we are here for.

THANKS FOR THE EXPLAINATION. I THOUGHT HEADERS COULD NOT BE DONE ON THESE MOTORS?

You are correct, No headers on the LFX motor. Corsa makes the best cat back and MRT V2 are the best axle back. Cat back could potentially offer more performance. The Throttle body newly released should not throw codes and a dealer will not know it is there unless there is a failure associated with it.

ide go full catback. widen the pipes a 1/4 inch if you can. because swapping an x pipe in would cost you labor from your local muffler shop. you gota cut throw 2 pipes and weld all 4 ends of them.. i couldnt help but to tell my guy to just cut it all off, give him 40 more bucks to fill the rest with lighter bigger pipes.
oh and i went with magnaflow res.xpipe. sounds like beast!

oh and removing the cats will give you a performance gain
