PCV valve removal technique

All I want to do at this time with my 13SS L99 is replace the PCV valve. What is the technique for removing the existing one and installing the new one? Does it twist off or what?

We don't have a standard PCV valve like older cars or a SBC. It is integrated into the valve cover. It is more like a PCV system with a fixed orifice - Which you really want to keep.

I am not trying to delete the PCV --- just replace the existing one with a 'new' one.

For what reason? What is going on that you need to do this? Not trying to give you a hard time, just curious.

There is no reason to replace it, they do not go "bad.", but can clog.

They do not have a spring and check-ball in them, they are open, with
set hole sizes. If you think you are experiencing a flow problem, just
remove it and clean it. It will pull straight out with pliers. Then you
gently hammer it back in to seat it.

Check the sizes of the holes in the PCV. The top hole should be 7/64", and
the bottom two holes should be 5/64". You can check that with the same
size drill bits. IF they're too small, then USE the drill bits to change the size
of the holes. This was an update in the 2010 to early 2013 V6 models.
Late 2013 and up, all have the new PCV orifice sizes. Not sure if the
same year V8s were effected.

I have a 2010 V6, and one bottom hole was clogged, and I had some oil
leaks. I drilled the new holes, the oil leaks went away.

I just got a 2012 by which 56k miles. I am reading that this is an important mod so I am going to do it. But some say that it is near pointless unless you ALSO install a catch can. Thoughts?

The orifice sizes control how much air can flow through the crankcase, i.e. how much pressure can build up or not. A catch can captures oil flowing through the PCV system as an unintended consequence of the process. Two different things really, but if you increase the size of the orifice, I would imagine you could increase the amount of oil getting into the intake. A catch can would not make the PCV mod work or not work, it would just trap any oil in PCV system before it gets to the intake.
