I'm biased, but I like ours PCM of NC Catch Can. I run it on my own cars of course. And here's a recent install on a customer car;

why wont anyone answer this question.
I like to work on my car and would welcome a task once or twice a year to manually clean up and blown by oil. How would a fella do this? |

Its not really dirty it was oil that got blown up and out of the motor, personally i think its still usable but just easier to pour it out and get new oil when you do a oil change

Many catch cans on the market, some work much better than others.
For me, I had two objectives; but first, a catch can should be able to catch most of the oil that excessive crank case pressure would normally inject straight into your intake manifold. However, if you can reduce crank case pressure without getting un-metered air into engine then you are also addressing the cause of excessive oil headed to the intake manifold via the PVC system. A vented catch can is what I run. Mighty Mouse has engineered a valve into their can that allows for control over crank case pressure. https://youtu.be/juH6eBoOInM |

With the catch can condom you can occasionally remove and discard that nasty waste. The first time I drained my newly installed catch can I was beside myself. I was shocked at what the contents looked like, mixture of water, oil and some gas, sort of looked like baby poop. No way do I want that going back into my engine. Best you think about getting a catch can condom so you don't end up in trouble over the long run!

fair enough...but, going without a catch can for years is the damage already done perse. Thats why I ask about cleaning the intake etc.
