Top speed of a 1979 Z28 with 325 horsepower v8
I was wondering if anyone has the estimates of the top speed of a 1979 Z28 with 325 horsepower v8? Obvouisly it is not the stock engine. thanks

Without knowing things like gearing, transmission choice, tire sizes, suspension upgrades, drag and more, it should be able to get to about 140 MPH with that kind of HP.

Merely impossible to even estimate without knowing about gearing.
My 427 COPO Camaro had well over 500hp and had a hard time cruising the highway at 65 mph with 4:10's - if you have 2:73's in your car chances are it will top out in the 140-150 range but unless you have done many modifications these cars are not stable or safe at those speeds. |
