I don't know all the details to be honest, I just know the guy had an LT (don't remember if it was 1 or 2) and traded it in after a year to get an SS.

I traded in a 1LT for a 2SS. The trade-in hit was about 5K, then there was the price difference between the 2 trim levels. It can be an expensive proposition.
