My car got egged last night... and possibly keyed?
Long story short, my car caught about 4 eggs last night. I’m already pissed about that. However, while washing it, I noticed what might be a key mark too. I wanted your opinions. The front of my car faces the street, and is where I got egged.

Man that sucks. Definitely looks like if could have been 'keyed', could have used an actual key or something else. Were other vehicles also egged/keyed or just yours? If it was just yours, did you piss anyone off lately? Regardless, it's time for a security camera.

The nose of the car appears to have had something drug over it, a keying would be down to the metal; recommend using some nufinish swirl and haze/ scratch remover and a soft towel mild buffing then coating repeatedly with wax...I also just use nufinish polymer wax..old school, and life is busy. Could be from some aholes rear pockets on their jeans rivets sitting on the nose of your car; take a selfie before.....the amount of people bouncing around like giant hippity hops for their balls increases with good weather as does their stupidity. Btw clear bra is sweet, not that expensive and works great. My tint dude I use does it and can do rally stripes also.....

If the scratch is just in the clear coat, you can save a LOT of time and sand it - yes, sand it, with something like 2000+ grit wet or dry. I recommend wet. Then use polish and finally wax. This has the same effect as hours of elbow grease with just polish/wax. It just speeds up the process. Sorry, man... : /

The scratch could be from the egg shell itself. Had an egg thrown at my SUV from an approaching car at about 40 MPH and the egg not only took the paint down to the metal but put in a pretty good dent. Body shop said eggs are surprisingly strong prior to breaking and they have seen some big damage from eggs especially at speed.
