Anyone near Virginia want to take over our 1SS/RS CGM order?
We recently bout 11294 off a lot around our house so we will be canceling our order this week. It is a CGM 1SS/RS with black rally stripes. We were at 3000 status as of May 27th so it will be built very soon. My wife is deploying July 7th so we went ahead and got a Rally Yellow 2SS/RS with black rally stripes and a painted engine cover that someone backed out on last Friday. It requires 1000 down to us because that is what we paid the dealer as he required to make the order and is selling at MSRP. I think the total left is around 34k tags and all that stuff and tax is 3% on a new car in Virginia. It is at Sterling Chevrolet in Sterling, Virginia. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested before I cancel this week.

How long did it take you to go from 1100 to 2000? I ordered from Sterling a few weeks ago and they assured me that they had allocated vehicles remaining. I spoke to the sales manager and he assured me my order would go straight in and that I wasn't going on a dealer waiting list. So far they have been great to deal with. What was your experience?
I also active duty stationed in the local area. I appreciate the advice. |

They were great to deal with. Everyone there was nice and professional. It took me about 2 or 3 weeks to go to 2000 and then 2 days after that to go to 3000. Don't know what it is at now but I wanted to give someone a chance to take it over before we cancelled it. They must have received more allocations because when I ordered May 8th they told me I took the last spot in line at number 8. We bought a 2SS/RS off the lot in NC because my wife is deploying in July and it was a surprise to us so we wanted to go ahead and get the car and it just so happened to work out for us. Someone backed out and they gave it to us for MSRP. Ask them if they accept the GM Military discounted price, most dealers will honor it. You are going to love your Camaro, it is the funnest, smoothest driving car I have ever owned. We have always had muscle cars but this one takes the cake.

Thanks, that's good to hear. Mario and Peter have been awesome to deal with, especially since I'm an obsessive gearhead. I try not to call every time I read a bad rumor online. I'm glad that you were able to get the vehicle so quickly. They told me that I am next in the queue and should go to production soon. They also told me they would honor the USAA discount and any other GM rebates available. Which is awesome, especially after Pohanka Chevrolet tried to charge $5000 over MSRP.
If anyone else is interested, they told me they have 4 more allocated and they are charging MSRP minus any rebates that you qualify for. From what I've read in these forums, that's a tough deal to beat. They are located just outside of DC. |

By the way what is the GM military discounted price? Is that the $500 off any GM vehicle that is listed on their site? Thanks again.

It is the same as GM supplier price. It's more like a couple grand off.
