Look at Grand Nationals, worth about what they were new, not much more after 30 years. You could have invested in cassette tapes and come out ahead.
GNX was the only one to actually become $$$.

No it doesn't... Let alone any value going up because of it is just nonsense.

I will gladly accept a premium offer for my load 16 2SS (rare - first blade spoiler ) Then I can get a 19 1LE because I will have avoided the beating I'd otherwise take selling it on the open market.

Wait til you see the beating you'll take trying to get rid of that 2019. The car itself looks like it already took one.

I agree the ‘18 is more desirable from a looks standpoint, which is why I bought my 1LE now instead of waiting for a ‘19. But minor fascia changes don’t make one more valuable than the other. Check back in 20 or 25 years and see what buyers at collector car auctions say when these hit the block as the best of the 20-teens muscle car era.

It might be as valuable over time as a split window coupe. Depends on the future. 30 or 50 years from now if everything is electric these cars will be worth a bundle.

I don't think any of these cars will be worth a dime 25 years from now, just another clapped out hoopty. The 1970 era won't happen again IMO.

What's a 1995 Camaro worth $3K on a good day?

For anyone that thinks the arguably ugly refresh helps values of the pre 2019 models need only go look at the number of 2018s still sitting on the lot with plenty of rebates to help move them. Last I looked there were many, many choices. If the value of pre refresh cars was going up you would have seen it in the prices for new on the lot 2018s and yes 2017s that are still on the lot.

As for future value? It's already benn well pointed out. You will need a very mint Gen6 in 40 years to get much of a payback and in reality putting 50,000 in the bank for 40 years will likey be a better deal.

Just look at the values of the far more rare C5 Corvettes, or C4 or even C3.

Needs to be a rare combo, probably even more rare than a ZL1 to be worth a lot down the road.

We live in a disposable world these days. Many car's parts are made recyclable. They are using soy based plastics and wire sheathing. They want cars these days to be easily rendered. None of todays mass produced cars will see values like we see in 426Hemi cars, big block Chevys or mid 60's Vettes because the will have already been turned back into other cars, refrigerators or maybe even fuel. Hell the software and computer systems in these cars alone will limit their life on earth. Try to find a computer to run a floppy disk and hope the information is still good if you do. What we will see are cars that dont run or cant be driven just siiting in collections to view. What will be the worth in that? Grant it, many collector cars do that down, but most of the high dollar ones all run and can. I dont see the point in talking future value of a disposal product.
