Reinstalling RS emblem on trunk

Going to install my blade spoiler and will need to remove my RS emblem. Planned on reinstalling but dealer says reinstalling they don't stick very well.

Is this just a line of BS they are feeding me? I believe it is BS. What is the best stuff to use to remount it?

That is BS, clean the old 3m tape off the emblem and put some new 3m automotive trim tape on, clean the spot you want to put it and then wipe it down with alcohol to remove wax and other contaminates then make sure you get the temperature between 60 and 80 degrees F and place it and make sure you apply pressure for at least 30 seconds. Don't wash it for at least 24 hours for maximum adhesion. It should last as long as if it were factory applied.

Yes, but there are cheaper brands out there that look the same but are not the same quality. Make sure it says 3M on it.

Scotch Outdoor Mounting Tape works fine, too.
