I have never really understood the whole revving your engine bit. But for stock-car, the hellcat does sound really good.

I know I am biased but I prefer the deeper throatier exhaust note of the zl1 compared to the hellcat, especially prefer the zl1 when they are both at idle. But that exhaust looks after market so the comparison is not fair.

The ZL1 has a better sound hands down. At start up, idle, WOT and in between.

having owned both I would dissagree. the hellcat exhaust is better IMO. the NPP exhaust is just not my taste though. it is livable but not great.
the hellcat has a better growl with less crappy popping noise. If I can ever track down a GT350 though I think that might be the one to have as far as exhaust noise we will see. Hellcat does not rev for crap. my z06 with stingers sounded better than both of these stock exhausts.

Zl1 by far has better sound. So much I actually questioned what dodge was thinking. Just my opinion.

Ive owned both and the Hellcat exhaust is better no doubt imo. But that's about it. The HC does ride better but it should..its bigger and heavier.

If I owned a Hellcat, I'd say Hellcat. I own a ZL-1 so I say ZL-1.

Hellcat sounds like a V6 Camaro with long tube headers and a catback exhaust.

Hellcat doesn't sound nearly as good as the Camaro. Thats apparent.

So true. My first mod was yanking the #8 fuse. No way I'm changing the stock exhaust. Might put some long tubes one day though.
