Heated Steering Wheel

I love this feature! In fact it is the best invention since sliced bread. Yes I exaggerate a bit but I do love it! It has been very cold for the past few days here in NY and it works great.
I found if it is not cold enough outside the wheel gets too warm, not burning hot, but too warm to hold onto comfortably. But since it has been about 8-10 degrees in the morning and just a bit warmer in the afternoon I can keep it on for my entire drive to work and then back home at night.
My Buick doesn't even have a heated wheel. I had to buy a Camaro to get one.

My wife just said the same thing. It was too hot by the time she reached the end of our street. But she digs it.

I just use mine until the car warms up then turn it off.

Only had one chance to use it but it was pretty nifty, I must say.

It's odd because mine use to get really warm, which I loved, but now it doesn't seem to really get warm. Especially all over. There are just a few spots that get kinda warm. Not sure if that is normal or not. It doesn't matter what the temp is outside either.

Do either of you have an infrared thermometer to measure the temperature of your steering wheel? I'd like to know what you consider too warm/hot to hold.

I started this thread back in February because it seemed to me that the steering wheel and seats didn't heat up as much as they did when I first bought the car (Sept. 2016). As of the last post in that thread, my steering wheel didn't heat up more than body temperature. It's been in the upper 30s to low 40s here in the morning lately, and I have been using my heated steering wheel. It does get noticeably warm, probably still around body temp, but still not as warm as I remember it when I first bought the car.

I really like it especially because I have some hand problems and keeping them warm makes them feel less painful.

Used mine today. Turned it off by the end of my street because it was hot already! I live in central CA so don’t really get super cold temps. Was low 60s for a high today.

Yea, that is what I wold have liked also. Mine gets too hot for me, so I have only used it a few times and then turn it off after a few blocks of driving. The heated seats however, I can keep it on the low speed when its in the 30's /40's.
