Performance is about a heck of a lot more than a 1/4 mile time you know

The ZL1 never has and never will be advertised as a car for the drag strip

And not only that, this particular car clearly had an issue on the Dyno-run which was probably also present for the 1/4 mile run.

Then there's the fact that it's very possible there's an agenda here due to the source of the times....

Are you trying to tell me that the main focus for the GM design team on the ZL1 project was to build a car for the drag strip?

Because it wasn't, and everybody knows that, but of course if it doesn't suit the agenda then little details like the Nuburgring lap time will be conveniently ignored.

If I wanted a car to use at the drag strip then I absolutely would NOT be buying the ZL1, but that's because I actually understand what the purpose of this car is.

Unfortunately it seems that many people, including yourself, have missed the point.

That's a real shame.

I think he is just trying to say it was A focus. The Camaro just does not have the pedigree (yet) to be marketed as a pure track car. GM knows that and being good at the drag strip is as or is more important than at the track.

a stall, and pulley kit/tune, will get this car to 11.5 corrected. .. on dr's.
i think the 20" drs will get the car to a 1.70 60' pretty easily.
thats my guess.

We all know this car is going to be great and shouldn't judge by 1 instance of a car that looked to have some sort of issue (per the dyno).

Hell .. .look what LPE did modified .. I would have loved to known their stock times .. for comparison of what they picked up w/ the mods.
